Join the festivities of amazing day of fun and entertainment in celebration of Canada’s 152nd birthday.
Join CUPE Monday, July 1, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Lakeview Park .
The celebration begins at 2:00 p.m. with live entertainment and activities for all ages. A grand finale fireworks display will begin at dusk (approximately 10:00 p.m.) off the shore of Lake Ontario.
The free shuttle bus service runs every 15 minutes from the Oshawa Centre beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Free Shuttle Bus Service and Bike Corral:
Residents are advised that parking is extremely limited near Lakeview Park and road closures will be in effect. You are encouraged to take the free shuttle bus than runs every 15 minutes or use the City’s trail system to travel by bike to the event.
- There is no parking on site at this event unless the vehicle has an accessible sticker issued by the Ministry of Transportation.
- Bus shuttles from the Oshawa Centre begin at 1:00 p.m. and leave every 15 minutes until 9:15 p.m. (accessible buses will be available). Following the fireworks, shuttle buses will return to the Oshawa Centre with connections to select Oshawa bus routes.
- Bus shuttles from Lakeview Park will leave every 15 minutes until all attendees have received a ride back to the Oshawa Centre.
- A free bike corral located at the fenced ball diamond in Lakeview Park will provide cyclists with an area to lock up their bikes from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
